West Virginia’s congressional delegation is frustrated and heartbroken over attacks in Afghanistan that killed eleven Marines, a Navy medic, and several civilians. Senator Shelley Moore Captio tweeted, “it’s devastating and incredibly sad to see,” and Senator Joe Manchin called the attacks, “an unconscionable act of terrorism.”
A West Virginia Air National Guard C-17, based in Martinsburg, is assisting in the removal of Afghanistan evacuees.
