COVID Cases Top 20,000 Over The Weekend

Active COVID-19 cases in West Virginia topped 20,000 on Saturday with the addition of 1,977 new positive cases. The state’s active total reached 20,102 on the day as its daily positive test rate came in at 9.28%, according to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. Hospitalizations dropped to 709, down five from the previous day, while intensive care admissions increased by 10 to 216.
