The Kanawha Charleston Health Department is asking for a million-dollar grant from the state Department of Health and Human Resources to establish a Monoclonal Antibody Clinic. The treatment is an infusion of COVID-19 antibodies after a person tests positive. Health Department Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sherri Young calls the treatment the last line of defense to help keep people alive.
