PSC Warns of a Scam Involving Suddenlink

The Public Service Commission said a new phone scam has been circulating in West Virginia where the caller pretends to be a Suddenlink representative.
In most cases with the scam, the caller claims to be a Suddenlink representative and explains the company is upgrading customers’ equipment to improve the quality of service, and you’re promised a $40 credit and free service for the months of November and December after you pay $200 for the equipment. The caller then asks for the customer’s banking information. The PSC advises you report those calls to police.
