A 17-year-old girl was sentenced to prison for her role in connection with the murders of four members of a family in Elkview. Rebecca Lynn Walker was sentenced Thursday by Kanawha County Circuit Court Judge Kenneth Ballard to 10 years in prison. In July, she pleaded guilty to four counts of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder. The charges stem from the murders of Daniel Long, Risa Mae Saunders, Gage Ripley, and Jameson Long all of Elkview, who were found dead in their home in December 2020. A 16-year-old boy also was previously charged with the murders. His identify has not been officially released. Kanawha County Sheriff Mike Rutherford has said the two teenagers did know each other.
