Thomas Health announced that it will be restricting its visitation policy due to the rise in COVID-19 cases locally. The hospital system will be moving to a no visitor policy, which went into effect Sunday morning at Thomas Memorial and Saint Francis. Thomas Health said the change was made due to Kanawha County moving to red in the state’s county alert system map. The policy applies to all areas of the hospitals, however, a caregiver will be permitted to accompany patients, according to a policy posted on Thomas Health’s website. The move comes as Kanawha County’s active COVID-19 case total neared 2,000 on Saturday.
