Charleston Area Medical Center said it is feeling the pinch of a nationwide shortage of crutches for adults and is asking the community to donate crutches. The hospital said its vendors are unable to fill orders for crutches, leaving the medical facility with very limited supplies, according to a Facebook post on CAMC Health System’s page. CAMC is asking anyone who may have crutches at home that are not in use to consider donating them to patients. The hospital has bins where donations can be dropped off at Hurricane and Charleston locations.
