Contract is Awarded for Connector Road Project

The West Virginia Division of Highways announced it is one step closer to building a connector road from Jefferson Road to RHL Boulevard at Southridge. A contract has been awarded to Triton Construction, Inc. for the connector road, which will be from RHL Boulevard near the South Charleston Memorial Ice Arena and Target to Jefferson Road in South Charleston.
The project is estimated at nearly $11 million and is meant to alleviate traffic congestion on both Jefferson Road and Corridor G in Kanawha County. This project will tie in with the Jefferson Road widening project, which is already under contract. Funding comes from the Roads to Prosperity program.
