Kenova Pumpkin House Takes Dozens of Volunteers

Every year around Halloween, about 3,000 pumpkins light up the night sky in Kenova. To make it all possible, it takes hundreds of hours and volunteers to turn the Pumpkin House into one of the area’s most popular fall attractions. The tradition started with just four pumpkins back in 1978. After last year’s cancellation organizers have vowed to make 2021 the biggest and best yet. Vendors will be available in front of the Pumpkin House too. WCHS TV said the goal is to finish about 500 pumpkins each day. The big unveiling is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 29. The Pumpkin House can be found at 748 Beech St. in Kenova.
