Drivers in Cabell County noticed slowdowns on Monday as both the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-64 started to see new closures. Crews are working on the road about a mile and a half east of John’s Creek Road in Milton and highways officials say the work will take about a month to complete.
As of Monday, one lane going in each direction is closed while repairs are made to the deck and the expansion joints. The lanes will be closed on Mondays and Fridays from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and from Tuesday mornings through Thursday afternoons, according to the Department of Transportation.
