October is usually the busiest month for shipments into the United States as companies place orders overseas to stock up ahead of Black Friday. There are reports that instead of taking two or three weeks, some shipments are taking four to five months to arrive. That’s putting pressure on small businesses as they prep for the holidays. Consumers are advised to order early if possible.
