An auto repair shop and a housing complex were destroyed in Huntington after a massive fire. The flames started inside Wooten’s Garage on 3rd Avenue and spread next door after neighbors reported hearing a boom. WCHS TV said everyone inside both structures made it out safely and no one was injured.
Huntington Fire Chief Jan Rader said two mechanics were in Wooten’s Garage when it started and they tried to put out the flames, but could not. Wooten’s Garage is a total loss and will likely be torn down. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
