Auditor’s Office to Track Federal Stimulus Spending

The West Virginia State Auditor’s Office said it plans to launch a platform to track the spending of the estimated $6 billion that the Mountain State is expected to receive from the $1 trillion Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. State Auditor JB McCuskey said his office also is in the process of launching a platform to track American Rescue Plan Funding. A small division within the office has been devoted to maintaining expertise on the fluctuating regulations and have been developing the state-of- the-art accounting technology to ensure the money is spent transparently.
