Fayette County Man Faces Charges Threatening His Wife at Gunpoint

A man in Fayette County faces several charges after deputies said he pulled his wife from a vehicle at gunpoint and then choked her until she passed out. Matthew Coleman of Jodie was charged after an incident that occurred Thursday. The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office said deputies began an investigation after learning about a domestic incident that occurred on U.S. 60 in the Hawks Nest State Park area. The woman reported she was driving on the road when her husband blocked her in with his vehicle and then pulled her from her vehicle at gunpoint, struck her and choked her until she passed out. She was eventually able to reach a neighbor for help after reaching home. Coleman is facing several charges.
