The Kanawha County Commission is putting a million-dollars toward demolishing dilapidated buildings. Commissioners call dilapidated properties “an epidemic” that is lowering property values and poses a fire and safety hazard. Kanawha County has more than one-hundred-twenty-five properties on its demolition list.
