Plans for Christmas parades are being announced. In Charleston, city officials have said the capital city’s parade will be held Thursday, Dec. 9, beginning at 7 p.m. Charleston’s parade was canceled last year due to the pandemic. Charleston’s parade lineup will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Kanawha Boulevard. In South Charleston, the Christmas parade is set for noon Dec. 4 on Fourth Avenue, according to a post on the city’s Facebook page. The city of Hurricane’s Christmas Parade is scheduled for Dec. 11, starting at 4 p.m. and the theme is “Twas the Night Before Christmas.” In Barboursville, the Christmas parade is set for 6 p.m. Dec. 2.
