A Kanawha County man accused of striking his girlfriend and throwing her baby is facing several charges, including child abuse. 21-year old Alijah Hitchcock is accused of striking his girlfriend in the face during an argument early Sunday morning, according to a criminal complaint filed in Kanawha County Magistrate Court. He is also accused of throwing the woman’s baby to the floor during the altercation. Hitchcock faces charges of domestic battery, child abuse resulting in injury and intimidation and retaliation against a witness.
