Sheriff’s Office Asks for Tips in Marmet Robbery Case

Kanawha County deputies said they are investigating after a man with a sawed-off shotgun early Sunday morning robbed a business in Marmet. A suspect wearing a white surgical mask, camouflage toboggan, dark blue coat, neon yellow T-shirt, dark pants and brown boots entered Max’s Place between 2:30 a.m. and 2:45 a.m. and stole an unknown amount of money. The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said the man was described as having bright blue eyes and no facial hair or tattoos and they think he fled the area in a silver sedan. Three people were in the business at the time of the incident, but no injuries were reported. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the sheriff’s office.
