Alzhiemer’s Hotline is Available If the Holidays Highlight Issues

The holidays are a time when cognitive disorders with some elderly family members can be highlighted, and The Alzheimer’s Association put together a list of signs and symptoms to be on the look out for. It includes, memory changes that disrupt daily life, difficulty completing familiar tasks, confusion with time or place, and misplacing things and being unable to retrace ones steps. Teresa Morris, program director for the Alzheimer’s Association West Virginia Chapter told WCHS TV that when things get busy and chaotic during the holidays that can affect someone with dementia. The Alzheimer’s Association has a hotline that can be reached anytime at 800-272-3900.
