The Cabell County Board of Education approved the purchase of five unique outdoor classrooms for elementary schools in the district. The outdoor STEAM classrooms will be built at Culloden, Martha, Spring Hill, Central City and Salt Rock elementary schools using federal funding. Each of the outdoor learning centers can hold three classrooms of students and will be equipped with wireless WiFi. The furniture for the classrooms will also be all weather-resistant and easily movable so students can adapt their seating for each lesson. The learning spaces are projected to be completed by the beginning of the next school year.
