Detroit Man Faces Charges in Charleston Double Homicide

A man who was arrested in Detroit in connection with a double homicide investigation in Charleston has been extradited to West Virginia. Charleston Police said 21-year old Marquis Goodman of Detroit, was arrested in Michigan in October in connection with a double homicide investigation in Charleston that left two women dead. Goodman was brought to Charleston on Tuesday and he’s accused of fatally shooting two women – Bria Nicole White and Kytiana Belcher – on Charleston’s West Side. White was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds on Hunt Avenue while Belcher was found dead by a neighbor hours later on Grant Street. Goodman was taken into custody by the Detroit Police Department’s Violent Fugitive Apprehension Team less than a week after the shootings. He is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.
