A former coal mine in Eastern Kentucky is becoming a solar energy facility. A Missouri based company plans to put solar panels on an abandoned coal mine site in Martin County. Construction is expected to begin next year, and will create three-hundred jobs. The facility will generate enough energy to power over thirty-thousand homes.
