The Putnam County Board of Health currently leaves the decsion about indoor smoking up to businesses as long as the people are of age to smoke and the business has signs up. This had the potential to be overturned at Tuesday night’s board of health meeting as they had just wrapped up a public comment period on changing their indoor air quality act to not allow smoking indoors at all. But the Putnam County Board of Health voted to make the smoking age 21 and added vaping and e-cigarettes to the policy, but in the end, the decision will still be left up to businesses on what they would allow. The revised indoor clean air policy will be posted soon on the Putnam County Board of Health website.
