With at home COVID testing kits becoming a hot commodity, health officials know there are positive test results that aren’t getting reported to the state’s tracking system. Kanawha-Charleston Health Department officer, Dr. Sherri Young said it’s important to follow up with your healthcare provider if you test positive. Sensitivity rates with the at-home tests are about 90 to 93%, according to Dr. Young, who said if you test positive at home, you should call your healthcare provider or local health department to get tested again to be included in the state’s COVID tracking system.
