Some employees at one of the locations of a West Virginia staple, Tudor’s Biscuit World, are hoping to unionize. Eyewitness News reported the situation is centered around the restaurant located in Elkview, which is corporate owned. Some workers have claimed they are understaffed, underpaid and mistreated. The National Labor Relations Board will mail out ballots to eligible Tudor’s Biscuit World employees at the Elkview location. Currently, about 22 people at that restaurant would qualify to cast a union election vote, and they need the majority of votes to join the union. The union election ballots will be mailed on Dec. 27, and workers have until Jan. 24 to cast their vote. On Jan 25, workers will have the chance to watch the vote count live on Zoom.
