A man has been charged after police said he was involved in a standoff with officers while he was with a baby in a house. Michael Perroti was charged with two counts of domestic battery and child neglect creating risk of injury. Huntington Police said one of the domestic battery charges stems from a previous incident. A standoff at the home in the 1400 block of Fifth Avenue West ended peacefully and the man and the child, who is about 3 months old, are OK. The victim said Perroti was having a psychotic episode and officers said he appeared manic and was screaming at officers through the door. Perroti was uncooperative and all attempts to communicate were ineffective.
