Kentucky Wants $15 Million Returned

The Commonwealth of Kentucky is trying to get back the money they invested in a proposed aluminum mill near Ashland. When Braidy Industries, now known as Unity Aluminum announced plans for the mill, Kentucky invested $15 million in taxpayer money. The mill has been talked about for several years but it hasn’t happened, and many are now growing impatient with the project, including state lawmakers in Kentucky. Kentucky Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Chris McDaniel introduced legislation for Kentucky to get its $15 million investment returned.
