A Lincoln County man has been found guilty of first-degree murder in the stabbing death of his wife. Edward Jeffers of Hamlin was accused of cutting the throat of his wife, Stephanie Jeffers, during an argument in 2017. A criminal complaint said Stephanie Jeffers had contacted her mother and told her that her husband was beating her. The mother called 911. State Police said the victim was found outside the apartment complex with multiple stab wounds to the neck and torso and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
