Marshall University’s new president is set to host several listening sessions with the campus community as he begins his tenure with the school. President Brad Smith’s “listening tour” will consist of one-hour sessions with each department or school on campus beginning Monday, Jan. 10. Most of the sessions will be held in the Shawkey Dining Room at the Memorial Student Center, but a virtual option will be available. The university said the discussions will be “candid and free-flowing” and will cover Marshall’s greatest untapped opportunities and its greatest challenges.
