The gunshot wound of a woman who walked into a Charleston hospital for treatment was self-inflicted, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. Chief Deputy Joe Crawford said the shooting occurred at the woman’s home in Institute and that the woman was being uncooperative. She walked into Women & Children’s Hospital about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with a gunshot wound to her leg. The investigation is continuing.
