Over one-hundred West Virginia National Guard troops are being deployed to more than a dozen healthcare facilities across the state to combat a nursing shortage. About twenty-five National Guard members are currently working at CAMC. Adjutant Gen. Bill Crane said it has been a smooth transition for the guard because some work in healthcare in their civilian lives.
