Arson Charge Dismissed Over Lack of a Witness

An arson charge has been dismissed against a man accused of setting a fire that destroyed a Charleston building after a fight with another man. The second-degree arson charge was dismissed against Windell Abraham Jr. of Charleston due to no state witness. Abraham was accused of setting fire Jan. 18 to a tent where another man was staying after they were involved in a confrontation in the 1100 block of Quarrier Street, and the blaze destroyed a building that was being used for storage by a nearby church. The building was ultimately demolished after it was deemed unsafe.
