The Capitol Market, a farmers market and retail hub in Charleston, has named its new executive director. Evan Osborn, who had been serving as interim executive director since last fall, has been chosen by the market’s board of directors to permanently fill the position effective immediately, according to a news release from the Capitol Market. Osborn previously served as outdoor market manager before taking over interim duties.The board of directors said Osborn brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit development and retail operations. He was unanimously approved from a pool of more than 40 applicants. Osborn replaces Nichole Greene-Jenkins, who left the post in fall 2021.
