Montgomery firefighters said multiple fire departments responded to a fire at a church Wednesday. The blaze broke out at the original First Baptist Church of Montgomery in the 100 block of Fayette Pike. Firefighters said the blaze has not been ruled an arson, but it is being investigated. State fire marshals have been called to help in the investigation. The fire was located in the back of the building and was extinguished, but it had extended into the walls of the structure.
