The Charleston City Council this week created two funds – the Green Initiative Fund and the Sidewalk Improvement Project Fund – to help with projects around the city. There are plans to purchase recycling bins with the Green Initiative for those that want to recycle and they’ll buy automatic lift arms for current recycling trucks. The Sidewalk Improvement Project Fund will focus on fixing sidewalks in residential and commercial areas across the City.
