A company that plans to build a manufacturing facility in South Charleston that will make all-electric school buses announced a partnership that will provide workforce development and training opportunities for potential employees. GreenPower Motor Company Inc. said it will partner with BridgeValley Community & Technical College and the Workforce Development Board of Kanawha County to provide the training. The South Charleston operation is expected to bring 200 new jobs to the state within the next year and the potential to create as many as 900 jobs once full production is reached in 24 months. While training at Bridge Valley, there is the opportunity to work for GreenPower at the same time. The facility will be up and running in a year.
