Jackson County Father Convicted in Daughter’s Death

Jurors in Jackson County convicted Jeffrey Hoskins on charges of involuntary manslaughter, child abuse by a parent causing death and strangulation in the death of his baby daughter. Hoskins was arrested in October 2018. The misdemeanor carries a one-year jail sentence. Jurors also convicted Hoskins of a child abuse death by a parent, which cares a 15-year-to-life term and strangulation, which has a one-to-five-year term.
