Two of the four defendants in the Horace Mann Middle School abuse investigation appeared in court Monday morning. Walter Pannell of Charleston and James Lynch were both scheduled to go to trial before different judges but had their cases continued. Pannell had his trial set for May 2. Lynch’s trial was reset for April 25. All four of the suspects in the alleged abuse incidents remain free on bond and are no longer with Kanawha County Schools.
