UC President is a Finalist at a South Carolina School

The University of Charleston’s president is one of three finalists for the president’s job at a South Carolina university. UC President Martin Roth is a finalist for the position at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC. School officials said the finalists were selected from a field of more than 150 applicants and were scheduled to be on campus over this week for interviews with the Board of Trustees. Roth took over the job at the University of Charleston after longtime president Edwin Welch retired in June 2018.
