WV Health Right Plans to Expand Its Offices

West Virginia Health Right has plans to double the size of its East End clinic, and staff there are working to get the funding they need to get the project going. They moved into their building on the East End in 1999 and they’ve since outgrown the space, according to CEO Dr. Angie Settle. She said they saw about 15,000 patients who were underinsured or uninsured in 2014, and they have about 41,000 now. The new facility will increase the space from 15,000 square feet to 30,000. It will cost about $10 million which will come from the state and federal levels. Settle is also requesting $2.2 million from the city of Charleston in ARP funding. The Kanawha County commission has already issued a letter of intent for $1 million.
