A pedestrian was hit and killed early Wednesday morning in Cabell County. The accident happened on Rt. 2 just north of the Big Ben Bowen Highway near Sanns Drive. Sheriff Chuck Zerkle said deputies found 21-year-old Jarritt Wiser, of Lesage, injured and laying along the north bound lane of 6700 block of Ohio River Road. Deputies and medics tried to provide lifesaving measures, but Wiser died on scene. The driver did not stop to help, so WCHS TV reported this is now being looked at as a hit-and-run.
