The Kanawha County Commission will host its first free spring countywide cleanup event Saturday in South Charleston. The cleanup event will allow you to get rid of unwanted appliances or possessions as you do your spring cleaning. The cleanup location will be at the intersection of C Street and 4th Avenue from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and they’ll accept accumulated solid waste, large appliances, air conditioners, 10 tires with a West Virginia ID and televisions. Recyclables are also accepted and include computers, all metals, car batteries and electronics.
