Senator Joe Manchin and several other state and federal are announcing that an electric battery company is planning to open in West Virginia and will employ displaced coal miner, and provide as many as three-thousand jobs in the future. The Sparkz company says it will partner with the United Mine Workers and other groups to recruit and train mine workers impacted by the downsizing of the coal industry. The company is still a few weeks away from announcing a location in West Virginia.
