Local Group Helps Female Pilots Gain New Opportunities

Across the country there is a massive shortage of pilots, especially women pilots but that doesn’t stop one Marshall Student. WCHS TV told the story of Kristen, a Marshall flight school student is one of only five women in her class and she is also the first in her class to do a solo flight. Kristen and a handful of chapter members founded West Virginia’s first Women In Aviation Chapter, and last week the local chapter sent Kristen to Nashville for the National Women In Aviation Conference.
The Marshall Women In Aviation Chapter is planning to attend the conference in Long Beach, California, next year.
