Two men in Lawrence County, Ohio, were charged after gun shots were reportedly fired during an alleged breaking and entering which led a nearby school to go into lockdown. The Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office said it happened last Friday. Officers said Kevin Edwards of Proctorville fired a handgun into the ground three times after he found Tony. D. Edwards of South Point near his camper at the county fairgrounds with some of his belongings. Fairland Middle School officials reportedly heard the shots fired and immediately placed the facility on lockdown. Deputies said although the situation never entered the school, it was within close proximity. Tony Edwards was charged with fifth-degree breaking and entering.
