This is Severe Weather Awareness Week and it’s a good time to plan how to stay safe when severe weather strikes, set up alerts, and put together an emergency kit just in case. The West Virginia Emergency Management Division, along with the National Weather Service and West Virginia Broadcasters Association have scheduled a tornado drill today (Tuesday, March 22) at 11 am. That will be a chance to practice your tornado safety plan, whether you are at home, school, or work. The test will be broadcast on radio and TV stations, but it will not go to your mobile phone.
