Boy With Weapons Said He Had ‘No Intent’ for Harm

A 16-year-old student at Lincoln County High School was charged this week after police said he was found in possession of a gun and knife. Hamlin Police Captain Lee Preece is also the school’s prevention resource officer, and said the gun was found in the student’s backpack and the knife was in his pocket. The gun was unloaded and did not have a firing mechanism. The student spoke with officers and said there was no intent to harm himself or others.
