Fayette County deputies said a man wanted in connection with a shooting early last week has been taken into custody. Bernard Reynolds Jr. had been sought on malicious wounding and attempted murder charges in connection with the shooting of Amanda Miller on Tuesday. The sheriff’s office said the U.S. Marshal’s Southern West Virginia CUFFED Task Force, which has two members from the sheriff’s office, captured Reynolds. After numerous tips, Reynolds was tracked to Beckley, where he was found riding a bike in the area of Second and Third streets and was apprehended. Sheriff Mike Fridley said in a video that Miller remained in critical condition at a Charleston hospital. He also said authorities still believe people were helping Reynolds evade capture, and those people also will be brought to justice.
