A Boomer woman is facing charges after an accident that occurred April 1 in Fayette County. 31-year old Cecily Overton has been charged with child neglect and DUI following a wreck in Gauley Bridge where a vehicle crested an embankment and rolled into a creek, according to a post on the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department Facebook page. The sheriff’s office said tests showed Overton was under the influence of multiple illegal substances. The incident is still under investigation and tips are welcome.
