A preliminary report from the medical examiner’s office indicates Eric Willaims of Spencer, whose body was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center wrapped in a carpet died of a drug overdose. The sheriff’s office previously said two men who took the body on Tuesday to the hospital, Josh Daniels of Salt Rock and Ryan Fitzsimmons of Hurricane, have been charged with concealment of a dead body. Cabell County Sheriff Chuck Zerkle said a search warrant was served at the home on Miller Road where Williams died, and authorities discovered an elaborate indoor marijuana growing operation with about 80 plants. A second search warrant was also served at another home at Traces Creek in Salt Rock and a second elaborate indoor marijuana growing operation was found with about 90 plants. The sheriff said charges on the drug operation are expected, and the investigation continues.
